Last week I had a friend who works at Metro Entertainment in our library. He did a great presentation on the history of comics and graphic novels. He also did give-aways for the students in attendance, which they really liked. I thought the whole thing was pretty cool since I know NOTHING about that genre!
Today I went to Metro Entertainment and had my friend help me choose some comics and graphic novels to add to my school's library collection and here's what I got. I realize that these books are great "gateway" books to hook reluctant readers, especially now that "regular" novel writers are also putting out graphic novels.
