I confess that I fell asleep at 11:00pm. I got up on the 31st at 4:30am to catch a flight home so it just wasn't in the cards to ring in the New Year at the stroke of midnight.
However, I listened to my daughter finish reading Michael Morpurgo's War Horse and I read Lisa See's Shanghai Girls (review to follow in a couple days). To help my daughter and her friend fall asleep I read them a couple Mr. Men books (we just love these!).
Even though I didn't make it to midnight, I enjoyed my end of 2009 reading!
