It's 5:15am Pacific time and I have just woken up to start the Dewey 24-hour read-a-thon! I won't read for 24 hours, but I'll put in a really good effort for about 14 hours or so. Let the reading and blogging begin!
3 facts about me: I love the ocean and need to live/be near it; my favorite dessert is York Peppermint patties; I am a tech geek
I only have 7 books in my TBR pile for the read-a-thon, but I also have my two TBR shelves that are always lurking and watching me so I have a good variety of things to read depending on my mood as the day goes on. My first book is Konigsberg's Out of the Pocket, which will count towards the April GLBT mini-challenge, the YA reading challenge, and the TBR challenge!
I don't have any concrete goals for the read-a-thon, but I hope to read a variety of books. Oh, one goal is to not eat any junk food (except those patties) since recently I've been eating too much of it.
This is my second Dewey read-a-thon so I'm not exactly a veteran. But, last year by 4:00pm I felt nauseous so my advice is to get up every hour, get some fresh air and get that body moving. I probably spent as much time blogging and commenting as I did reading, which was really fun!

Good luck!!! Have fun! Found ur blog, and now I'm following you!
Traditional read-a-thon blessing:
May the bookshelf be there to greet you.
May all the books appeal.
May the fridge be full of tasty snacks;
the words fall soft upon your eyes and until the read-a-thon ends,
may you always hold a book in the palm of your hand.
Good luck today!
looking good!! Keep up the reading! :P
If I could have one wish,
I know what I would say.
Just give me my books,
And let me read all day.
