Summary (from the inside flap): Micah will freely tell admit she's a compulsive liar, but that may be the one honest thing she'll ever tell you. Over the years she's fooled everyone; her classmates, her teachers, even her parents. And she's always managed to stay one step ahead of her lies. That is, until her boyfriend dies under brutal circumstances and her dishonesty begins to catch up with her. but is it possible to tell the truth when lying comes as easily as breathing? Taking readers deep into the psyche of a young woman who will say just about anything to convince them--and herself--that she's finally come clean, Liar is a bone-chilling thriller that will have readers seesawing between truths and lies right up to the end. Honestly.

Review: Wow. Where to start with this one. I've just finished it and I feel drained. In a good way. This book totally takes the reader on a wild ride. What have I just read that is true? What is lies? I just don't know!

I really liked the way the main character, Micah, talks to the reader; it made me feel like I was there with there in a room, listening to her tell me her story. And every time she confessed to a lie, I felt let down. We get to know all the other characters through Micah's eyes and Micah's story, it's all her version of what happened to her boyfriend (was he her boyfriend?), to her friends, at her school, etc.

Though this book is long at 371 pages, it is a quick and easy read. I liked the writing style. I got caught up in Micah's story from the beginning. What's not to like? Dating, school, secrets, bullies, it's all in there. What I think I like most is that throughout the book I questioned everything and I accepted everything all at once. That's a strange feeling.

There are parts of this book that are so fantastic, so unbelievable, but I can't tell you about them because it would ruin the book for you. You'll just have to read it for yourself!

Helen, I remember reading other reviews of this one. It sounds like quite an experience to read Liar, to try to tell what's "fact" and what's "fiction" within the book itself. Great review!

I really enjoyed this novel too! I think you summed it up perfectly when you described the unsettling feeling of accepting everything and questioningeverything at the same time.
