Summary (from the inside flap): "Just listen," Adam says with a voice that sounds like shrapnel. I open my eyes wide now. I sit up as much as I can. And I listen. "Stay," he says.
Choices. Seventeen-year-old Mia is faced with some tough ones. Stay true to her first love--music--even if it means losing her boyfriend and leaving her family and friends behind? Then, one February morning Mia goes for a drive with her family, and in an instant, everything changes. Suddenly, all the choices are gone, except one. And it's the only one that matters.
Review: I never even read the description of this book before I read it (and I read it in one day!). I just knew it was getting really good reviews so I jumped right in. And wow! It's so good!
I was completely wrapped up in what Mia would decide, how people would try to convince her of what decision to make. I know this all sounds vague, but I don't want to give away what happens or what Mia's decision is.
I thought the characters were believable, the situation really interesting, the emotions were real (yes, I got all teary), and I just really liked it. I can't wait to recommend this one to students this coming week!
