There is just something about India in particular that has captured my heart. I went there for a month or so when I was in 7th grade (part of a semi-world tour with my family). I love the food, the people are so friendly, the sights were amazing. Yes, I had short hair so everyone thought I was a boy, but I still had a great time.
Given my love for India the South Asian Author Challenge was right up my ally. However, I wish I had taken advantage and read books about Pakistan and Sri Lanka for this challenge. The year isn't over yet though so that may still happen.
