I loved this challenge! It's the first challenge I joined when I started my blog almost a year ago and I have enjoyed every book that I read for it. It is definitely a challenge I would/will sign up for again.
I signed up to do the suffragette level, which was to read 8 books, 3 of which are non-fiction. Instead I've listed 23 books that fit the challenge, 13 of which were non-fiction. More of the books I've read in the last year might have counted for this challenge, but these are the ones I remembered to list. As I look through the list I realize these are some of my all time favorite books from this past year.
- Murder in the Name of Honor, by Rana Hussein
- Persepolis, by Marjane Satrapi (graphic novel)
- Monique and the Mango Rains by Kris Holloway
- Persepolis 2 by Marjane Satrapi
- Wandering Girl by Glenyse Ward
- Letter to My Daughter by Maya Angelou
- If Love Hurts edited by Pam van der Heide
- Keeping Corner by Kashmira Sheth
- The Writing on My Forehead by Nafisa Haji
- Body Drama by Nancy Redd
- You'd be prettier if... by Dara Chadwick
- The Help by Kathryn Stockett
- Stones into Schools by Greg Mortenson
- Sold by Patricia McCormick
- The Blue Notebook by James A. Levine
- Between Two Worlds by Zainab Salbi
- Climbing the Stairs by Padma Venkatraman
- Mare's War by Tanita S. Davis
- Creating a World Without Poverty by Muhammad Yunus
- I am Nujood, Age 10 and Divorced by Nujood Ali
- Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide by Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn
- A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini
- Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See
