Life and Family:
Last night was so much fun: I went to a fundraiser for a local theater. Doesn't sound exciting? Well, it was because it was an evening with the writer, producer, and some cast members of Glee! Now I just love this show and watch it each week with my mom and my daughter. We laugh, we sing the songs, and yes, sometimes we have to explain stuff to my 10-year old. But mostly we laugh.
The moderator for the evening was Brad Hall (writer for Frasier and other shows as well as an actor). The Producer of Glee is Dante DeLoreto. They both attended Santa Barbara Junior High (7 years ahead of me in school), the home of the Marjorie Luke Theater. So I grew up seeing those two perform in musicals locally. They were joined by the creator of the show (and a writer), Ian Brennan. He is the one who writes all of Jane Lynch's wonderful lines on the show. The cast members that were there were Finn, Sam, Sue Sylvester, and Mike (Kurt's dad). They were interesting, told fun stories, and answered audience questions. The number of screaming junior high age girls in the audience was quite amazing!
They had a raffle of Glee memorabilia (of which I won nothing) and the big prize that we were all entered for was a trip for 4 to go to the set. The winner was the woman next to me! I was one seat away from winning! Aaaarrrghghghgh! But the night was filled with interesting stories and laughter so it's all good.
Work:
Work is work. It's busy, a little bit crazy, and I am hoping it will calm down soon. I did find out there is money for me to go to a great conference in the spring, so that's a really good thing.
Books and Reading:
I definitely feel like I am not getting as much reading done as I would like these days. It's not that I want to read a certain amount of books or pages every week, but I feel like books are taking me a long time because I don't have a lot of empty time in which to read. And that is sad.

It sounds like you had a lot of fun at the fundraiser. Too bad you didn't win anything!
Sounds like you had a fabulous time at the Glee event! Too bad they didn't sing a song for you, though I guess without all the cast members they probably didn't want to. :)
Alyce--I was all ready to win something in the raffle (stuff signed by the cast), but it just wasn't to be. It was still fun though
Michelle--We wondered if they would sing for us, but it would have been difficult given the strange mix of cast members.
Oh wow, you got to see Jane Lynch and everyone else!! I am SO jealous! :) Isn't Glee one of the best shows EVER? :)
Nikola--Glee is so much fun! Have you also watched Modern Family? I think it is equally wonderful.
