My only concern is what to do if the Kindle battery dies on me. Yes, I understand the concept of plugging it in and recharging it. However, Oman is on different voltage from the US.
Does anyone know if the Kindle is dual-voltage?
Here are the books I am bringing with me on the trip in the order I plan on reading them. My guess is I'll only get to 2 of them, but you just never know. I have other books on the Kindle, but they have to wait until after January 1 since they count toward 2011 challenges.

About the dual-voltage thing, usually adaptors are made to accept any voltage between 100 and 230. I'm guessing Oman is at 220? If you look at the charger, somewhere there will be a sticker in which input voltage range is written - it's usually on the underside. You should be able to know from that.
I'm also taking nook books with me on my vacation. I don't want to feel upset with myself for carrying 10 books and reading none.
You have chosen some wonderful books - I have Secret Keeper here, but may get to it only next year. Really want to read the HeLa book too! Enjoy them and your vacation! Have a wonderful time!
