So I've been using Linky Tools for my Middle East Challenge reviews, and just discovered they've all disappeared! Major UGH! I have emailed Linky Tools to see if they can restore it and find all the links so we'll see what they can do.
Then today I saw a post talking about inlinkz (the PoC Challenge uses it).
I'd love input from all of you. Which of these two have you used on your own blogs? Which do you like better? Have you ever lost anything from either one?

I had problems with Mr. Linky (I use them for my sign up post but you can only have one linky at a time for free) so I switched over to Linky Tools but now you have to pay for Linky Tools to be able to use it at all. I haven't tried inlinkz. Instead I am using Google Docs to allow people to post review links for my challenge. If I'd remembered inlinkz, I might have tried it instead! Good luck!
Christina--I just discovered that we have to pay for Linky Tools. They say on their site that they emailed all users, but I never got an email... oh well. I also got an email from Inlinkz that they could retrieve my lost links for me....
I used to use Linky Tools for the challenges I'm hosting, but once they sent me an email saying they were staring to charge a fee as of Feb.7, I switched to Inlinkz. Another one I've seen people using is Simply Linked, but I couldn't work it to set a closing date for people adding links. But so far Inlinkz is working fine, but you will have to pay if you want to use thumbnail links instead of text links. I think you only get one free thumbnail linky.
Tasha--I think I am going to give Inlinkz a try. I've also used Mr. Linky
I use InLinkz when I want the list to show up on my blog, and Google Docs when I just want to collate entries. I never got into using Mr Linky or Linky Tools, probably because I would've had to pay for them and I objected to doing that for something so simple.
Carina--I decided to use Inlinkz since it's free for text and I like that I can see the entries right on my post. Thank you for supporting my gut feeling
I've been using Inlinkz for the POC challenge. One nice thing was that when they switched over to subscription service for the thumbnail links, they didn't threaten to delete my collections if I didn't subscribe. I got to keep them but couldn't create any new thumbnail collections. I ended up subscribing to Inlinkz so I could keep making thumbnail link-ups. It was cheaper than LinkyTools too.
Katy--good information, thank you. So far I am happy with inlinkz
