Dewey 24-Hour Read-a-Thon is coming!

I am so excited to participate in another Dewey 24-Hour Read-a-Thon! The event takes place next weekend, April 8 through 10, 2011. The idea is to read as much as possible during the weekend.

Thoughts about the read-a-thon:
  • I try to choose books that will go quickly (YA, graphic novels, shorter books) so that I feel like I am accomplishing more
  • I make sure I get breaks so that I don't get that "nauseous-I've-been-in-one-position-too-long" feeling
  • I get outside
  • I check in with other people's blogs to do some unofficial cheerleading and to see how other bloggers are doing with the read-a-thon
  • I do some of the mini-challenges; they are a great break from just straight reading
  • I review every book I've read as soon as I am done with it
Books I am considering:
  • A mystery (perhaps one I've got through Net Galley though that means reading it on the computer)
  • Skipping a Beat by Stephanie Pekkanen
  • Anna and the French Kiss by Perkins (YA)
  • Ball Don't Lie by Matt de la Pena (YA)
  • Cellist of Sarajevo by Galloway (short adult fiction)
  • Knockemstiff by Pollack (short stories)
