Family and Life:
I've had a head cold all week. No big deal, but still, I've felt a bit like a snot-head.
Sam old, same old this week. I am really tired of my tech being on jury duty three days a week. Of course, she is more over it than I am, but I miss having her in the library with me every day. We're such a good team and good friends as well so not having her there is sad for me and the students. Actually, on Thursday she and I attended a Board Meeting at our County Education Office to see her receive the County Classified Employee of the Year Award! Yes, I nominated her and the award was well deserved.
Books and Reading:
This weekend was the Dewey Read-a-Thon. As usual, I did not devote as many hours to it as I would have liked, but I did manage to get some reading done: A Thousand Sisters by Lisa Shannon, Ex-mas by Kate Brian, and I hope to finish Finding Nouf by Zoe Ferraris today.

I think you did well in the readathon! 2, maybe 3 books is more than I usually get done. And this time I didn't even participate ;) Never do in April, there's just too much other stuff going on.

I had guests this weekend, but I still need to do a readathon! Glad to hear you were able to get a lot of reading done.
Gnoe--The first time I did the read-a-thon I read a ton of books (some YA, some graphic novels) and I think I compare every time to that first enthusiastic experience
Slore--The books I read were good as well, which is always a nice bonus
Hope you feel better soon! You did get some good reading done even if you couldn't devote so many hours to the readathon. That always happens to me too - I barely get to read much during a readathon.

Aths--Now I have a bit of vertigo in the mornings. Very strange. I realize I just like the idea of participating in the read-a-thon
