Family and Life:
My daughter's knee started hurting her last weekend and by Wednesday I had her at the physical therapist hoping it wasn't a serious injury. After manipulating her legs all over the place and asking lots of questions (including have her feet grown a lot recently, to which the answer is yes) he said she has Osgood Schlatter Syndrome/Disease. Ha! I predicted that's what it was. That news is better than an injury because it's like her Severe's Syndrome in her heel--it is growth plate pain. Advil, stretches, and a bit of rest and we hope it won't hurt too badly.
Other than that, the week has been pretty quiet with roller blading, swimming at the pool, reading and hanging out. My brother and his family arrive Wednesday from London so we're all very excited to see them.
Work:
Nothing to report, how nice is that?! I've got three more weeks of summer until I return for teacher in services and the start of school
Books and Reading:
I've had a good reading week and have a big give away going on. It is international and lasts until tomorrow!
Today is the final day of the Middle East Reading Challenge so if you've read any books by a Middle Eastern author or set in the Middle East feel free to post them to the reviews page. The challenge will start up again in January 2012.
I got three books for my Birthday: Tropical Fish: Tales from Entebbe by Doreen Baingana; The Butterfly Mosque by Willow Wilson; and Those Who Saved Us by Jenna Blum
It's Harry Potter's Birthday today!
