Family and Life:
My daughter is back at school and I am back at work so we spent the week adjusting to a new schedule and trying to work out the kinks. I was completely wiped out after our first day since I had been awake for an hour and a half in the middle of the night with our smoke alarms chirping, letting me know the batteries were running out! Why does that always happen at 2:00am?!
Work:
Whew! Two days of textbook distribution and I am alive. Tired, but alive. We had three really good staff inservice days, I would say the best start to the school year I've ever had. My website creation sessions for the teachers went over very well so that definitely helped.
Books and Reading:
With the start of school comes the slow down in reading. Bummer! I did receive Maggie Stiefvater's Forever in the mail (I won it in a giveaway!) and I know the students at school will be pleased.
