What's going on in my life:
I had a lot of fun shopping for books for my library last weekend; we spent over $600! We got some sad news on Monday: a former teacher from my school did at age 75. Too young, but he had a stroke years ago. The good news though is that he said all donations in his name should go to my school library so the donations have been coming in every day. We are up to about $3,000 so far!
I definitely feel like my reading is starting to kick into gear. I am not up to my multiple books per week (yet?), but I did manage to finish Cutting Season (a mystery) last week and this week I finished The Rise of Nine and The Forsaken (both YA dystopian). This week is a total departure and I am reading The Woman Who Fell from the Sky about an American journalist in Yemen.
It's my daughter's 12th Birthday tomorrow so we've been having ongoing festivities: dinner out and bowling on Friday night, today is cake at the dance studio after an awesome master class, and tomorrow I've got a post-school surprise for her and a family dinner with presents. Birthdays really are fun!
