Week 3 (Nov. 11 to Nov. 15)
Be The Expert/Ask the Expert/Become the Expert (Hosted by Katie at Doing Dewey) Three ways to join in this week! You can either share three or more books on a single topic that you have read and can recommend (be the expert), you can put the call out for good nonfiction on a specific topic that you have been dying to read (ask the expert), or you can create your own list of books on a topic that you’d like to read (become the expert).
It feels odd to say I'll be the expert on something, but here goes. I did my Masters work on the Holocaust so that's the topic I chose at first. Then I realized that all my books on that topic are fiction! So, back to the drawing board and looking through my non-fiction over the past year, I've read quite a few memoirs so that's the topic I'll show here.
These three covered Japanese internment in the US, being a woman doctor in Saudi Arabia, and dealing with sexual assault.
These three are about growing up in Chicago and becoming the First Lady of the US, how an education changed a woman's life, and growing up with an addicted motherl
This memoir is a woman's experience growing up in a Fundamentalist LDS family.
