- If You Want to Make God Laugh by Bianca Marais
- Saving Ruby King by Catherine Adel West
- Shadow Box by Luanne Rice (part of a TLC Tour so the review will post this coming week)
I had a holiday last Monday, which felt really good. I cleaned the house, did work for scholarship interviews that I did this week (and the upcoming week), and read. Even with a shortened week, work was insane. There's just so much union negotiating to do with our elementary teachers going back to in-person in a week or so, ongoing pandemic issues, and more.
I also did work in my garden. Something to know about me is that I do not like gardening. But, this stuff had to be done and I feel better for doing it.
I posted the following new CYBILS finalist reviews:
- Legendborn by Tracy Deonn
- Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas (YA Speculative Fiction winner)
- Sia Martinez and the Moonlit Beginning of Everything by Raquel Vasquez Gilliland
- Elatsoe by Darcie Little Badger
- Burn by Patrick Ness
- The Guinevere Deception by Kiersten White
- Red Hood by Elana K. Arnold
