I got to see two friends last weekend, go for a walk, and hug them. It felt so good! We've been friends for over 50 years so our visit and walk were very grounding and made me feel like I am reemerging from pandemic isolation.
Yesterday one of my best friends and I drove an hour to our nearest Nordstrom to get measured for bras. Yes, an hour. Our local Nordstrom was a victim of the pandemic and there is nowhere else that measures as well as a Nordstrom. It felt like a field trip and was the first time I've left town since the pandemic started. We had a great time chatting in the car.
My daughter had exciting news this past week. She was awarded two fellowships from her college! I am really proud of her.The first one will cover expenses during her internship this summer and the second one is to cover expenses while she studies in Jordan this summer. Do you see the conflict? She can't do both things this summer and can't travel to Jordan due to COVID, so she gets to postpone the second fellowship for summer 2022.
I watched season 1 and 2 of an Amazon show (PBS originally) called Bletchley Circle, which I enjoyed. It follows 4 women who worked at Bletchley Park (see the connection to the Rose Code?!) who come together in 1952 to solve a crime.
