- The North Face of the Heart by Dolores Redondo (review to be posted Tuesday)
- Like a Love Story by Abdi Nazemian
School has officially ended for the year and not a day too soon for all educators, but especially our classroom teachers. They have been amazing through all of this! I have one more week of work and will be presenting professional development to social studies teachers Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. I'm a bit overwhelmed since I haven't created the presentation or session materials yet!
My daughter and I are enjoying watching Itaewon Class, our latest Korean drama. It's quite different from the others we've watched, but I'm really enjoying it. One of the interesting things about it is that it is the first K-drama we've watched with a non-Asian character. Toni, the black man, is Korean and the show brings up the racism that blacks in Korea deal with so it's an interesting dimension.
No bookish thoughts this week except that I took all week to read the The North Face of the Heart shown above since work and life were so busy. Sigh. But, I did read Like a Love Story in only 2 days. Gotta' love a fantastic YA book to fully absorb my weekend time.
