Bonnie of Bonnie's Books posted that yesterday was National Daughter Day so I made sure to have a special phone call with my daughter who is currently a senior in college. She's pretty a pretty cool kid, if I do say so myself. And, she turns 21 this coming Friday. How do I have a 21-year old?!
I posted last Sunday that I'd started watching Ted Lasso and The Morning Show. I finished season one of Ted Lasso and I highly recommend it. It is funny and positive, two things that we could all use more of right now. Last night I finished season 1 of The Morning Show and holy moly what an ending! This show is also really good, but definitely not funny or positive. It takes a look at sexual harassment in the workplace and is very well done.
I am proud of my school district's Board of Trustees as they voted to mandate vaccinations for staff. The unvaccinated have to get their first jab by Friday, October 1 and be totally vaccinated by November 1. I actually know a couple people who are going to quit!
This coming week is Banned Book Week so I thought the above graphic was appropriate. Today I plan on figuring out which banned books I'll read this week.
And, I am a round 2 judge for the CYBILS this year in the category of graphic novels. I am super excited! Here's my post about it.
