Yesterday we had a neighborhood get together and had about 10 out of 16 households attend including people we don't know well so that was really fun. We are trying to reach out to our neighbors so that we all know each other a little better because I feel like if we've met and socialized, we're more likely to look out for each other. And, the people who couldn't attend were open to the idea and appreciative, so that's nice.
I also realized that just doing the treadmill workout each morning is getting stale so I've been trying to do street walking/jogging a couple times a week and this morning I am about to go on a bike ride. It seems to do the trick with keeping me more motivated. And, when I go out in the world to work out I'm listening to podcasts, which is a nice change.
I've got good news for those of you who enjoyed watching Call the Midwife... Season 10 just began and I watched the first episode Friday night (I've heard a rumor that they are slated to have 13 seasons). I forgot just how good it is even though it can be emotionally draining. The story has reached 1966 and, as usual, historical events affect the midwives. I love it!
For the first time ever, I am participating in the RIP Reading Challenge and I am really looking forward to being a part of such a huge group experience after sitting on the side lines for so many year.
Here's my challenge update. The image is a link to my challenge page.
