My huge news for this week is that I am changing jobs! For the first time since 1993 I will not be working in education. It's terrifying, exciting, and daunting, but I am ready for a change. I am going to be the North American Director for Adoption and Customer Experience for CYPHER LEARNING, a company that specializes in providing learning platforms for schools, businesses, organizations, and entrepreneurs around the world. I will be responsible for post-sales (keep customers happy with tech help, etc) as well as doing presentations/workshops at conferences.
Other than that news, not much else is going on. I finished the second season of Pose, skimmed through some British Baking show episodes, and have been wondering why Santa Barbara has been entrenched in thick, low fog for the past week. In response to my new job, I've got walks set up with a bunch of friends, which is great!
This is what happens when a book person buys books that are work related, doesn't get around to reading them, then leaves the profession. Sigh. I'll take these in to work and see if any of my colleagues want them. Apparently, I have more enthusiasm for the purchasing than the actual reading of work-related books. 🤣
And here is a little reader quiz for you. I scored 15. Are we surprised?! How did you do?
