I took on a ton of reading challenges in 2021, in fact, perhaps too many challenges, but I did pretty well. Here is the link to my challenges page and my wrap-up for all my reading challenges is below:
✅ Diversity Reading Challenge with Carla and Lenorea at Celebrity Readers. I completed this challenge, reading 80 books that had either "diverse" author and/or main characters. I also completed 11 mini-challenges out of 12.
Popsugar Reading Challenge with Tara at Popsugar. I did not complete this challenge, reading in 49 of the 51 categories.
✅ A to Z Reading Challenge with Crystal and Megan at Bookstacks and Golden Moms--I completed this challenge, reading books that had titles starting with all 26 letters of the alphabet.
✅ Alphabet Soup: Author Edition Reading Challenge with Lori at Escape with Dollycas into a Good Book. I completed this challenge, reading books that had author last names starting with all 26 letters of the alphabet.
Literary Escapes Reading Challenge, with Lori at Escape with Dollycas into a Good Book. I did not complete this challenge; I read books set in 44 states. However, I did read books set in 56 countries so that's pretty cool. To see where I read, check out my 2021 Google Reading Map.
✅ Historical Reading Challenge with Marg at The Adventures at an Intrepid Reader. I completed this challenge, reading 25 historical fiction books (my goal was 10).
Children's Historical Fiction Reading Challenge with Susan at Bloggin' 'Bout Books. I almost completed this challenge, reading 16 books that were children's historical fiction. And, I did 19 of the mini-challenges, but I think I cheated because I had some books count for more than one mini-challenge.
✅ Cloak and Dagger Reading Challenge with Carol at Carol's Notebook. I completed this challenge, reading 31 thriller/mystery books (my goal was 15)
✅ Youth Media Awards, which is my own made up challenge where I try to read all the American Library Association Young Adult Award Winners of 2020. I did pretty well on this one, reading 10 of the 11 award-winning books. The only one I didn't read was the nonfiction award because I just wasn't interested in Charles Lindbergh.
