Happy 2022!
I think I say this every year, but I can't believe it's another year and that 2022 is here. For me, this new year holds many changes: new job, chances to travel, and more (I hope). I had a good first day of the year with a walk/run in the early morning, a walk with a friend mid-morning and visiting with her brother whom I haven't seen in forever. I also had time to read.
I had a quiet New Year's Eve, but my dad and I did manage to see the last sunset of 2021 from Butterfly Beach, which has become quite the tradition for hundreds of people who live in our area. We joined a number of our neighbors so it was really fun.
The CYBILS finalists have been announced! I am a round 2 judge again this year for the graphic novel category. We will pick an elementary/middle grade winner and a YA winner. I am so excited! You can see the list of finalists and their descriptions at this link.
I have a (mostly) love and hate relationship with my TBR books shelves. I can't seem to stop myself from buying more books even though the shelves of the unread are close to overflowing. I think one of my 2022 goals will be that I won't fight it any more and I will just accept that this is the way I am. The photo above is what my TBR shelves look like as we begin 2022.
Here is my final showing of my 2021 challenges. The image is a link to my challenges page.
