I am getting into the rhythm of my new job (at what point is it not "new?"), leading meetings with customers, etc. It feels good and I love having a job that, for the most part, I don't have to deal with outside of work hours. Being on California time means that I sometimes start my day really early (5am) but it also means my afternoons are fairly slow and available to get work done as everyone in the other time zones finishes up their work day before I do.
I forgot to post the two presents that my daughter brought back for me from Zanzibar. The first is a pillow case for a throw pillow, which I love! The image next to it is the women's collective where the cases are made. She shopped at a number of women's business collectives, which I think is great. The leather sandals shown below, which totally rock, were hand made for me by a cobbler in Stone Town at a cost of $13.
My daughter extended her stay at home by 5 days since the first few days of classes were remote and she is back at college; I can't believe it's her last semester! I now have more time to read, etc. This weekend I went for a walk with a friend, which felt great and I am catching up on my sleep.
