I didn't post last week because I hadn't finished any books. But, last weekend was wonderful, filled with walks with friends I haven't seen in a long time on both Saturday and Sunday. We had a glorious heat wave here last week; it was high-70s and low 80s.
I have really had a bunch of reconnections with people from my past in the last few months and Friday was no exception. I had lunch with 2 sisters with whom I attended pre-school (best not to talk about how long ago that was!) We hit it off immediately and may even form a book group!
One of the fun things that I did at work this past week was to meet (via Zoom) with each of my colleagues who are on the US/Canada team from all the departments. I really enjoyed spending a little time with each of them and getting to know them better. And, I discovered a number of them are readers!
The CYBILS winners were announced on Monday! I had so much fun being a round 2 judge for elementary/middle grade and YA graphic novels and I am happy with our winners.
I enjoyed my read along with Anne from My Head is Full of Books. We read The Firekeeper's Daughter, which I loved. My review is linked above.
Here is is the current state of my 2022 challenges. The image is a link to my challenges page.
