I am posting this from Florida! I am here for my first work trip and it's been fun so far. I flew in Friday afternoon and drove an hour down to Palm Bay (on the Atlantic coast) where I visited one of my best buddies from high school. I haven't seen him in about 4 years so it was great to catch up, see where he lives, and get to know his wife better. It was a really relaxing visit.
I learned that if an alligator comes out of the water, I am supposed to zig zag. I guess alligators are fast, but can't zig or zag quickly. Let's hope I don't need to test this theory!
Saturday afternoon I drove back up to the Orlando area and checked into the Disney Coronado Spring Resort where the conference is being held. The weather is hot, the sun is out, and the tourists are here en masse. I swear it's as if there is no pandemic; I am only one of a few who wears a mask indoors.
Today, Monday, and Tuesday I am working in the exhibit hall representing the company. I look forward to meeting some of my colleagues in person this afternoon and once the conference begins, talking to potential customers about using our learning/training platform.
The image above is the books I hoped to read in February. I did pretty well, reading these and a couple books of other books as well. The only one I didn't read it Project Hail Mary because I didn't want to carry it all the way to Florida and back again (I am giving my copy to a friend when I am done). Instead, I brought Radium Girls with me and finished it already.
This second image is the books I hope to read in March. Have you read any of these? What do you think?
Here is is the current state of my 2022 challenges. The image is a link to my challenges page.
