It has been a whirlwind week and I am not sure where it went. Here's some of what I was up to:
- I got a new car. Sort of. I upgraded my Tesla to the long range so the car looks and feel almost exactly like my old one, but it's got All-wheel drive, can go 350 miles on a charge, and has a few other improvements.
- I led a Board meeting for the UCSB History Associates.
- I worked on questions with my social justice colleagues for our Supporting LGBTQ+ Students student panel that is happening this week.
- I attended a diversity workshop for my high school alumni board.
- We figured out which students are getting scholarships for my high school alumni board (we give out almost $300,000 a year in scholarships!).
- Did a little clothes shopping.
- Attended an event honoring my ex-husband for his work in the school district. It's great to see his work being recognized and it was really fun to reconnect with education colleagues.
I've begun watching COBRA on PBS, which is a good political suspense show. Have you seen it?
My reading is slowing down and I don't like it. I have so many wonderful books staring at me from my TBR shelf that I feel pressured. I am hoping that on my east coast trip I will have time to read (think plane flights). Maybe I need to get some audiobooks since I'll be doing a lot of driving.
Here is is the current state of my 2022 challenges. The image is a link to my challenges page.
