Last Sunday I went to a Black Culture House event to see the film "Floyd Norman: An Animated Life." Floyd is an alum of my high school and the first Black animator for Disney. It's not a topic I would normally be interested in, but I womaned a table for our alumni association. It turned out to be really interesting (here's Floyd's IMDB link; he's worked on some of the hottest animated features).
During the week I went on a walk with a high school friend and another one (whom I hadn't seen in decades) came over for a visit when he was in town. I feel like the past couple months have been filled with touching base with long-time friends. It's been great. And this coming week I'll see two more on a trip to Las Vegas.
Today I am going on two walks with friends. I figure if I am on walks, I won't snack on chocolate. 😃
It's the end of one month and the beginning of another so it's time for reflection and looking ahead. This image is of the books I hoped to read in April. I read all of these books plus 4 others so it was good month number-wise and I liked all the books I read.
And this image is of the books I plan on reading in May. I have put off reading This Tender Land for years and am determined to read it this coming month. Have you read any of these? What did you think of them?
