- The Resistance Girl by Mandy Robotham
This week I have been fighting Covid and it's no joke. I had a fever for 4 days and a chesty cough set in on day 4. I told my doctor so that it would be in my medical records and he immediately wanted to tele-health. Since my cough was a new symptom, he prescribed the new Pfizer drug Paxlovid. Well, it seems to be working and by Friday I was starting to feel a bit better each day. But, I did experience an icky side effect of the drug: 24/7 my mouth tastes like metallic, bitter grapefruit. I can literally feel it entering my mouth through my salivary glands. It is a truly foul taste. 🤣
Due to Covid, I haven't been able to focus on reading so I've spent the week watching TV in 30-minute spurts. I've watched The Tinder Swindler (super interesting documentary), Inventing Anna, and Bad Vegan, also both about a swindlers and fraudsters; I think I've lot faith in humanity. 🤣
