Jury duty has dominated my life this past week. I feel like I am behind in all other aspects of my life. But, the trial was supposed to go until June 24 and it actually ended on Friday so it lasted only one week instead of three. Not bad! It turned out to be a little more interesting than I anticipated: a lawsuit about investors in a cannabis company not getting paid. We do have a beautiful courthouse (see photos above) so it was a nice place to spend some time.
I have been watching two shows: Sky Castle, a Korean drama about parents who go to all lengths to get their kids into college; and Lincoln Lawyer. I am liking both very much.
Between traveling to Las Vegas, getting Covid, traveling to New York, and having jury duty, my eating has increased and my exercise has been almost nonexistent. Not a good combination. This morning I managed a short bike ride and a jog/walk. It was a bit painful, but feels good to be back at it.
