This past week was fun. I was in Las Vegas Wednesday and Thursday for work, but not for work. I went to a work conference just for fun so that I could meet 10 of my colleagues in person. They are all such nice and interesting people so I am really glad that I went. Wednesday night we went out for a late team dinner and the food was delicious. The 2.5 mile walk back to the hotel was fun; we stopped by the Bellagio to watch the fountain show. It's nice to have a change of pace from the usual routine.
Unfortunately, I attended the funeral of a friend's husband who was far too young (only 63). My friend is left with their 9 adopted children so he has a great support system, but what a loss.
I am going to participate in Nonfiction November (link to my post), are you?
These are the books I hoped to read in October. The top one was a mistake (the publisher review request is for November), but I read the rest plus one other adult novel and 4 children's books.
These are the books I plan to read in November plus the audio book The Elephant Whisperer. Since I have a busy 10-day NY trip, this might be a bit ambitious. But, with my daughter gone, the second half of the month perhaps I will have more reading time. So, we'll see. I've got 3 nonfiction on the list for Nonfiction November. Have you read any of these? What are your thoughts?
