Well there is good news on the job front this week! I have signed on with a local app start up (High 5 Movement) for half-time work. I truly believe in this app that helps deal with student mental health issues so am excited to help them get the word out and make a difference.
On Tuesday, very early, I flew to New York to spend a week with my daughter. It's been great to hang out and not work. Wednesday we checked out Cornell (above see one of the on-campus gorges)
We watched a really bad but popular Korean reality show (note: we got totally obsessed) and started watching Narcos, which is really good!
We've made delicious meals, hung out, and yesterday we went for a walk to see the Taughannock Water Fall, which was absolutely beautiful. Apparently it is 215 feet tall and the highest single drop waterfall east of the Rockies.
I have finished reading the YA and elementary/Middle Grade graphic novel finalists for the CYBILS. I am really looking forward to discussing them with the other judges and seeing which one we choose as the winner in each category.
Here is is the current state of my 2023 challenges. At this point, I am counting individual books for multiple categories in each challenge, but I'll replace them with other books throughout the year.
