I have a couple books I am working on but finished nothing this past week.
Well, I've been obsessed with watching Narcos so didn't get a single book read this week. There are just three seasons: season 1 and 2 chronicle Pablo Escobar and the cocaine trade while season 3 follows the Cali Cartel and how they continued the work. Super interesting and lots of violence (and a few detailed sex scenes), but it is very well done, interspersing real footage with the drama to remind you of how real it all is.
My new job is going well though I still haven't heard from the second company that says they want to hire me. Patience is the name of the game.
I go in spurts of the types of books I am in the mood to read. Right now, I'm going through a "I don't want anything to literary or heavy" mood and I am enjoying the "lighter" reads from my TBR shelf. Do you go through cycles of reading moods?
Here is is the current state of my 2023 challenges. At this point, I am counting individual books for multiple categories in each challenge, but I'll replace them with other books throughout the year.
