I arrived back home yesterday afternoon from NY. It always feels good to be home, but I really had a good time with my daughter and wish I could have stayed longer. We got into a good rhythm of work, walks, food, and talking.
Today I am going for a long walk with a good friend, doing the bookkeeping for an older family friend (job number 4!), and popping by my parents' for a brief hello. I have a friend going through a potentially serious health issue so that is weighing on my mind.
My daughter and I did a spontaneous late-night run to Barnes and Noble while I was visiting her and I got two books. I hoped it would get me back into reading and it seems to be working. Yay!
Here is is the current state of my 2023 challenges. At this point, I am counting individual books for multiple categories in each challenge, but I'll replace them with other books throughout the year.
