- The Last Love Note by Emma Grey
What a week. Last Sunday night I went an annual holiday party with a wonderful group of women. We eat too much and do a gift thing where you are never sure what you're going to get (this year I came home with fuzzy socks and a satin pillow case).
My daughter arrived home on Tuesday and I can see that I will get no reading done for the next 6 weeks. 🤣 Work is crazy busy as clients try to get in all their training before the holiday/new year and at the end of the day, I hang out with my daughter so, no reading. We did go to dinner at my ex-husband's Wednesday night and high tea at a local B&B with my parents (pictured above) on Thursday.
Friday night we attended an event put on by professors from the university about Israel/Palestine, which was well attended and super interesting. Saturday was Farmer's Market and a walk with a friend and a bunch of errands. Today I have an Executive Board meeting for one of my boards, my bookkeeping job, and dinner with my parents at their house. Whew!
Monday night was book group where we talked about Jojo Moyes' The Giver of Stars (my review). I tried to convince them to read The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek (my review) on their own time given the controversy and this coming month we're going to read Fredrik Backman's Beartown.
Here is is the current state of my 2023 challenges.
