Ah, Ithaca, NY in the winter. Actually, I managed to leave Santa Barbara right before all the torrential rain that hit national news and here in NY it's been sunny at in the 40s and low 50s. I know it isn't going to stay that way, but for now it's nice.
My laptop started failing just before I left home and I ended up buying a new one in my first days in NY. I do love new gadgets and my 15" Mac Air is wonderul compared to my 7 year old one.
One night I watched a documentary that is perfect for people my age (where are all my '80s children?!): The Greatest Night of Pop. It's all about the making of We Are the World in 1985. It's full of good stories, amazing artists, and it brought back so many memories.
I started reading Geraldine Brooks' Horse this week and am really enjoying it. It's a great combination of history and people. Have you read it?
