This week flew by with work and not much else. I did watch a reality show called Blown Away, which sees glass blowers competing for prizes. I am someone who cannot visualize something then create it so I loved watching talented people take a vision and create it in glass. Truly amazing. And I learned so much!
I also watched the documentary Quiet on Set about the child abuse at Nickelodeon. Gosh it's so disturbing. My daughter was in the dance industry for a few years and after she was done we heard about abuse by someone she worked closely with. I never left her alone since we lived so far away, but tons of kids were left with him with no parents around. I am not blaming the parents at all. This documentary is tough to watch, but I hope parents with kids in the industry watch and take heed.
Yesterday I had lunch with a good friend and met with a local tattoo artist as I plot and plan my next tattoos.
I did have an exciting thing happen. Our newly elected County Supervisor asked if I am interested in being his policy advisor/field rep. It's a job I did for our State Senator back in the '90s so I know a bit about how it works. I am flattered, excited at the possibilities, and am meeting with various people to see what I think about changing jobs (again). I do like the idea of making an impact on my local community.....
Here is is the current state of my 2024 challenges.
