Another week filled with work, dance, and a UCSB talk (who knew ancient Egyptian amulets could be so interesting?!). One of my best friends (whom I 've known since I was 2 years old) was in town this weekend so we went for a walk and today we'll have brunch together with our mothers.
Friday night I went out to dinner with a long-time friend and her son at a new Middle Eastern restaurant that was really yummy.
I got an email from Tesla saying that I have "Self Driving (with Supervision)" for the next month. I was scared to try it so did it in my development when hardly anyone else was on the road. It was pretty cool and freaky. It indicates, steers, and got me to my house. I had to do the accelerator, but it did make sure I came to a complete stop at a stop sign (no "California Roll"). And, I kept my hands on the steering wheel just in case. We'll see if I get brave enough to try it out in the real world.
