Much of this reading was spurred on by participating in the Thankfully Reading Readathon so thank you Jenn! I have one more day to read and hope to get a good chunk of my current read done.
I watched a lovely fun show this past week: A Man on the Inside (Netflix). Ted Danson in a retirement home. Maybe it's having my parents and all their friends going into places or talking about going into such places, but I found it funny and poignant.
Thanksgiving was a quiet, nice day. I went for a walk with my dad in the morning at a local lake, chatted with family who aren't on the west coast, and ended the day with a nice dinner over at my parents house. Another couple joined us and they are such wonderful people who've been friends of my parents since the '60s. Lots of laughing, so all is good.
Friday I went to the "Zoo lights" at our local zoo. What a fun and happy thing. The entire zoo had these giant light animals, plants, birds, etc. I also watched the final of the Great British Bake Off. I love that show.
Saturday I went out to dinner with my best friend, her dad and his partner, which was really nice. You all know how much I like connecting with friends! And my brother arrives tonight! I am really excited even though I won't see him until tomorrow after work.
