The fraud is resolved with a closed bank account and I got all the money back. Phew!
Halloween has come and gone so it must be Fall. In Southern California we don't really get "Fall" like the rest of the country, but I do have a tree just outside my front door that changes color. It makes me happy.
This week was a bit quieter and I am okay with that. I had dinner with a friend I haven't seen in a couple months, I bought a painting (quite radical for me) and it makes me happy, and Friday night our local indie bookstore celebrated 50 years so I went to the party, bought books (and a celebratory t-shirt), and saw people I know (not a surprise). Chaucer's is such a wonderful shop! A couple friends came over Saturday night and we had a great catch up.
I am bracing for the election on Tuesday, knowing that whoever wins, there will be chaos. If he wins, well, democracy as we know it may cease to exist. If she wins, he and his followers will deny the results and threaten/promise violence. 😢
